Hello to all of you playing at home...
Some have asked if I can see you all back there and I'd have to say I haven't tried in a long time. Earth is very, very, very distant and even fainter than that. Not to mention the fact that my received signal strength is down in the attowatt(in descending order:milli, micro, nano, pico, femto, atto) or quintillionths of a watt range so ANYTHING take a long time to send. As much as I like you guys, it just take too much time(and therefore $$$) to get NASA/JPL to turn the big 70-meter dish(es) on me so I can send something like a picture. So, probably no more pictures from me. Think of the loudest sports/concert event you can. Now imagine trying to hear somebody whisper to you from the far side of the hall or stadium while the show is going on. No, wait, it's even more faint than that...

I did send NASA a bit of a parting shot in 1990 though. It's right here:

You lot are the white dot in amber streak, about 2/3rds of the way down. You're so small you're getting lost in the glare off the lens on my camera.
    Pretty tiny ehh?

    Here's a closeup:

Earth takes up about 1 pixel and was over 4 billion miles away from me at that point. I've travelled that distance again in the ensuing 14 years.

Sorry it took me so long to post something here. It's hard to stay in touch with a round-trip light-time of well over 24 hours and with my signal strength down to what it is. Think of the loudest sports/concert event you can. Now imagine trying to hear somebody whisper to you from the far side of the hall or stadium while the show is going on.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to get back to you, oh, probably Wednesday should be about right.
